Neat! I like old storefronts. I always wonder what happened to make them close up.
@ Badass - In this case it was Interstate 40. Diverted traffic from Route 66. Add that to a town with a population of 306 (in 2000, it's gone down drastically each year since)...and you have quite the dead town.
*sigh* The Mother Road...

@ mjenks - Yeah, it's hard seeing it in it's current state.@ #3699 - I played with it in color...but it just didn't do it for me. Black and white was a must! :-)
I've been to San Jon, like 7 or 8 times and I don't remember seeing that building. Very cool.
It's about a block west of the motel...right around the corner from the "Pour House". I took that when we were out walking Buster. :-)
