Ghosts of Weekends Past: #5

So, let's do some more catching up, shall we?

I'm going to jump ahead a few weeks, to the weekend of 05/22/10.

Mot and I decided it would be a good day to take Sam to the lake.

It's a city park, and leash laws apply, but the side of the lake we go to has no trails anywhere near it. It's all overgrown and covered with weeds and such. The perfect place to take the dog, let her play in the water, and not worry about complaints.

She did really well watching and obeying voice commands, visual commands, etc. For being the first hunting dog we've trained....it's been fun and she's doing really well.

After we were through wearing her out....I mean, getting some training time in, we took a walk around part of the lake.

She fell asleep in the back of the Jeep almost immediately.

Mission complete. :-)

Wet dogs are so adorable!! It looks like a blast. And judging by the last picture...a great success!

Adorable...and it's funny how they almost think you feel left out when you're not as soaked as they are!! She shares all the water she can. :-) :-)

Hi, Nej,

You were asking about my watermelon chiffon pie and what to substitute for heavy cream. What's your dad's concern - fat, or dairy?

I'm not sure, but maybe try non-fat condensed milk in a can? Or the non-fat version of half&half (I still can't figure that out). Or if the problem is dairy, try soy milk? Since what makes it gel is gelatin, maybe use more than one envelope - maybe 1.5?

Good luck and let me know how it turns out.

Yeah, it's more the fat than the dairy. I'll give the condensed milk a try, and let you know! Thanks!!! :-)

@ Jill: Thanks!!! She's cute, but unfortunately she knows it. She could get away with murder I'm sure. :-) :-)
