This morning, I saw something that actually made my head spin and do a double take.
I take the interstate around town to work in the mornings. As in any city, there are a number of streets that pass over the interstate, via bridges. As I was approaching the first of many streets that run over the interstate, I see a man up on the bridge.
Well....I'll assume it was a man.
Actually, I think he was a zombie.
Uh huh, you heard me....a zombie.
He was wearing pants and a trench coat....both filthy, black and grey with soot or dirt. His face was a red and black mess.
Cross Shawn of the Dead and The Gunslinger and you'll come up with something pretty close to what I saw.
I was pretty tired after this weekend's festivities (blog posts to follow)....so it took me a minute to think what month it was.
If it was October, I would have thought less of seeing a zombie. But in June - yeah, it was a little strange.
And if seeing him wasn't strange enough....what he was doing is really what caught my eye.
He was climbing up and over the fences they put on the outside of the bridge. You know, the fences they put up, so people won't jump off the bridge, or, in the case of Omaha...so kids won't throw large pieces of cement into traffic, killing people.
So, did I call 911? Did I stop and go back to investigate?
Nah, I just kept driving. But I'm going to keep an eye on the local news today. Surely someone else saw it.
Right???

Wise choice to keep on moving. Zombies are fickle creatures.
If it was truly a zombie, then you will need to steal a school bus, a chainsaw, and a bunch of dynamite.
@ Uncle Badass....fickle is right. And this one seemed more coordinated than some. Fences usually deter zombies...this one was persistent.
@ mjenks...I keep waiting for something to show up on the news...and there's nothing. I'm really starting to doubt my sanity (more so than usual). :-)
